It is our goal to provide families in Charlotte with a location where they can experience and practice the German culture and language together. We support families that want to raise their children bilingual within the framework of a school environment while celebrating the holidays of the German church year.

We are not a preschool and set ourselves apart from other institutions because we focus mainly on the enhancement and development of the German language in fun and caring surroundings.

The speech development of each child is monitored individually. Learning occurs age-appropriately in a playful manner with music, singing, dancing, reading, story telling, crafts, puppet theater and excursions.

Celebrations following the German church year schedule are integrated into the curriculum. Parents are encouraged to participate in the learning process and celebrate the German holidays with us. Many parents notice a difference in the use of the German language of their children just after a few visits.

We constantly encourage the children to use the German language when talking to us or to each other. In our experience, children in these age groups are receptive to instruction for about two hours.

The group is taught in the German language. We can of course speak English if need be. Please send a healthy snack with your child to be enjoyed during class time.

The German Church is a relatively young congregation and the church is currently unable to support the German Children groups financially, hence our expenses have to be covered by donations.

Based on the costs, we are ask for donations as a pledge.
